DANIEL CRIVELLO IS AN AIRLINE PILOT BASED IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.  HE’S ALSO A CORRESPONDENT FOR THE DAILY HERALD, A 137-YEAR-OLD NEWSPAPER COVERING EVENTS IN UTAH COUNTY.

He currently flies the state-of-the-art Airbus A320 for Delta Air Lines and writes compelling stories for the Daily Herald. Before that, he flew the Boeing 767 from New York and Los Angeles to London. Before that, he studied Aeronautical Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Before that, he was much shorter.

He grew up in the beautiful region of Alsace, France and served as an officer in the French Air Force.

★ INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT DANIEL: He earned his private pilot license before he knew how to drive. He and his wife married only three weeks after they met. He has been married since 1995 and has three children. He’s Alsatian and owns a magnificent Alsatian Wolf Dog (German Shepherd) named Hansi. He can speak and write fluently in English and French and was published in both languages. He’s a member of the Mormon Church. He loves making crêpes and eating tartes flambées. He is left-handed.

He was inspired most by the writing of Mark Twain, Dexter Filkins, Michael Connelly and, ahem, Eminem.
